Outcomes: Participants will be introduced to a range of practical and manageable teaching techniques to help them to challenge and motivate their more able readers without having to provide a totally separate curriculum.
Target audience: Teachers and Literacy Leaders in KS1 and KS2.
Course content: Techniques, texts and ideas designed to broaden and deepen children’s reading ability and allow scope for reflection and the development of independence. The content will cover the CLPE reading scale; reading challenge cards; identifying language for effect; themes and traditions; and the use of Bloom’s taxonomy.
Cost: £90 including refreshments.
