Method: Hide a sticky note with a question on somewhere in the text. When the children have finished reading, this becomes the question for them to discuss and answer.
There are various ways of doing this activity. The above version with one ‘golden ticket’ is where I might begin. Once children are used to the idea, pairs of children can be given the same question to discuss together before entering a whole group discussion.
